Meet our Nutritionist

Hi! I'm Tiffany Nelson. I grew up in Elmhurst, IL and I have always had a passion for living a healthy lifestyle, and for learning about how the human body works. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Elmhurst College in 2006, and Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Montana State University - Billings in 2011.

In 2012, I took a job at a diabetes prevention clinic where we worked with pre-diabetic patients on food and lifestyle changes to prevent the onset of diabetes. Unfortunately, with conventional nutrition recommendations, we were seeing little to no success in our patients. Largely because of that, and my own personal health struggles while following conventional nutrition recommendations (allergies, acne, weight, headaches, and fatigue), I came to the conclusion that something had to be missing! It was about that time that I had my first child, so I left the clinic to be home with her, and spent the next few years researching nutrition and found out that we're going about this all wrong! Focusing on food quality (eliminating the toxins, focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods) rather than calorie restriction or the next greatest 'diet' as well as repairing my hunger and satiety hormones completely changed my life! I am now free from allergies, acne, weight issues, headaches, and fatigue! And even more exciting? I've been able to share this knowledge with clients in order to reverse digestive issues, diabetes, emotional and behavioral issues, and many other symptoms and disease by doing the same thing: eliminating the toxins, consuming whole, nutrient-dense foods, and repairing the damage that has been done in the body. And I love every second of it!

I have been a member of the National Athletic Training Association since 2011. I earned my Health Coach certification in 2014 through the American Council on Exercise, and Holistic Nutritionist certification in 2015 through the American Fitness Professionals and Associates. I have experience working with high school and college sports teams, weight loss centers, and medical clinics, but

My true passion is helping people feel better to improve their quality of life,

and the prevention and treatment of chronic disease through holistic, realistic lifestyle changes.

I've been blessed with a pretty awesome husband, Travis, who has been so patient through my years of studying nutrition, and developing this business, and 2 amazing children, Harlo (5) and Chatham (2) who make me laugh every day!

Some of our favorite things as a family are traveling, going for walks or hikes, zoos, playgrounds, swimming , and music
